Where is your coffee grown?

Ohana Harbor Coffee owns three farms, that collectively are more than 50 acres. In Kailua Kona, on the Big Island of Hawai'i. Our Family-run business is involved in every facet of the coffee-producing process from starting the new seedlings to the bag of coffee you pick up in the market. I's the ultimate in quality control.

Our coffee farms are committed to the well being of our workers, the land and water. Our farms are bird- friendly and surrounded by native plants. We don't use pesticides and our trees are planted 8 feet apart and the rows are 11 feet apart, assuring that each tree gets plenty of sunlight and moisture.

In Hawaii we like to say "if it's not growing, it's rotting" this simply means that the climate is so moist and conducive to growing plants and we must stay on top of our maintenance. We work hard to keep native grasses down to encourage and support the growth of our coffee trees.

We employ modern farming practices to ensure consistent supply and the highest quality coffee possible. We operate our own pulping and drying facilities, dry mill and green bean grading and storage facility. Like fine wines, Kona Coffee is processed with the utmost attention through each processing stage from handpicking to roasting. The end result is an extraordinary coffee, delicate yet with a rich flavor and aroma.
